What I do
By day I'm the Principal Cloud Architect at Sambla Group, a fintech company in Sweden. I drive serverless adoption, modernize infrastructure, and work on making developers' lives easier through self-service platforms and automation. I care about security, compliance, and building systems that scale without anyone having to wake up at 3am.
Writing and speaking
I started serverless-handbook.com as a home for everything I learn about serverless on AWS. I write here on jimmydqv.com about architecture patterns, CDK, event-driven design, and whatever else I'm building at the moment. I also speak at conferences and meetups around the world. Most of my recorded talks are on YouTube.
Beyond the keyboard
When I'm not writing code or blog posts, I'm usually tinkering with IoT projects or standing next to a smoker perfecting my brisket. I like mixing cocktails for friends (which is how the AI bartender project started). These hobbies keep the creative side alive and sometimes turn into the best blog posts.
